A little bit of something from all directions of my life.
Looking for fruit in a tree or waiting for something to fall?
Their enclosure is open at the top - so anything could fall in - or swoop in to get them. Thanks for visiting & leaving a comment.
These guys look funny to me anyway, let alone just sitting there staring a something! :)
They are very entertaining -- we went back to the zoo on a rainy day - they were huddled up under the overhangs in their enclosure - definitely a dry climate species. As much as I enjoy them at the zoo, I never watched Meerkat Manor on TV.
I'm a big zoo person and have been wanting to visit the Houston Zoo since I've returned here. But after being in Galveston this week I think I'd better wait until the weather cools off a bit!
We want to visit again in the winter - hope the animals will be a little more active, although the Houston Zoo has a lot of animals from Africa, so the heat shouldn't be a problem (the humidity I'm sure is a kicker for them). Have you been to the private zoo in Lufkin? I think it is the Helen Trout zoo? I haven't been, but hope to one day. Thanks for visiting this post as well! Enjoying your blog - especially since I'm familiar with the area.
